*When exchanging files with the SMART Cloud we recommend a root folder be setup on the C Drive of the client machine. In this example we are using C:\SMART-Temp. Images or documents you wish to upload to SMART should be stored here.
Uploading a patient photo
Open the patient intake screen (Clipboard) and input the patient name or number and select or press enter to open the patient
Double click where the patient photo is or should be (you may need to double click on it again in the next window if a photo already exists)
By default, you will be brought to the “PatientPhoto” folder on the SMART Cloud. Click the dropdown arrow next to “Look In” and scroll up to C on (Computername) and select it. It may take a second or two to populate
Next double click on the SMART-Temp folder and you will see any files present. This is where you can retrieve the patient photo from in order to upload to SMART.
Select the photo you want to upload and choose open. You can adjust the rotation, brightness, contrast, and finally what is captured using the box that pops up. You want to try and center the photo in the box. Then press Save. Congrats! You have added a patient photo!
Uploading a document to a patients case history
Open the patient case history (Tx), press Find Patient, and input the patient name or number and select or press enter to open the patient
Click the Case History tab and then the Stored Documents tab under that
Click Import Document and input a name, date, and description for the document you are uploading
Click Import Document on the Scanned Document window and then the dropdown next to “Look In”. Scroll up to C on (Computername) and select it. It may take a second or two to populate
Next double click on the SMART-Temp folder and you will see any files present. This is where you can retrieve the document from in order to upload to the patient chart. Choose the document and click “Open”. Finally click “Save” to upload the document to the patients Stored Documents
