Setting up medications such as Buprenorphine Naloxone so that the combination dosing units will print on the take home labels?

Please check with your state pharmacy board for requirements before making any changes to the take home labels.

If you are adding dosing units to medication that already exists in inventory, you will need to contact SMART so that the dosing units can be added to the inventory.

Example:

Total dosage of 10 mg/2.5 mg of Buprenorphine Naloxone

Actual dosed amounts:

1 Film 8 mg/2 mg 1Film 2 mg/ 0.5 mg

To enable printing the combination total dosage on the takehome labels,

On the Medication Tab on the Medication Information Management Screen, select Print combination Dosage on Takehome Labels.

Before the combination dosing units will print on the takehome labels, the medication needs to be set up with Dosing Units - DO NOT ADD unless you want the dosing units to print on the take home labels.

Strength Tab When dosing units are selected, both the base medication dosage and combination medication dosage will print on the take home labels. Important Note: SMART can only support Zubsolv stengths 1.4 mg and 5.7 mg.		For each strength entered Strength Cut Number - the number of times a tablet can be divided. 1 = cannot be cut Dosing Units - preconfigured.
